      Account Executive Interview

      21 Jul 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Indianapolis, IN
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Denali Executives (Indianapolis, IN) in Jul 2015

      Interview

The phone screen and first interview were perfectly fine. I think more time should have been spent in the first interview so you'd be a bit more prepared for the second 7 hour interview. Door to door sales? That's a way to weed out the ppl that want to be an account exec. Felt like a joke and not at all what the description said. Wasted my time and theirs. I left early to fill out more apps.

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Denali Executives (Indianapolis, IN) in Mar 2016

      Interview

1st round interview is brief. I was able to meet with the president of the company and he explained what the position entailed and what the company was trying to accomplish. 2nd round interview was a job shadow where I was able to spend time with some of the actual Account Executives and see their day to day activities.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Denali Executives (Indianapolis, IN) in Feb 2016

      Interview

The interview process is straight forward. The first round interview is fairly brief but if you understand what they do it makes sense why. Denali works with several Fortune 100 businesses and takes care all of their marketing, sales, consulting, and client relations. If Denali is going to train you to meet and work face to face with clients there's really no need for the interview to last an hour. People make up their minds to do business with you in less than 1 minute based on your handshake, smile, and confidence. When I worked there the second round interview can be done several different ways but typically a candidate is assigned to one of Denali's top account executives to further evaluate the candidate and go over the upward mobility and day to day operations. Its pretty simple really, if they think you have a good work ethic, attitude, and integrity they'll give you a chance. Don't confuse that with "they hire everyone", they get around 150 new applicants a week and are pretty selective.
