First interview consisted of an introduction of yourself and your work, then they explain some parts of their processes. After that, they proceed to a live coding session where they ask you to solve a leet code style problem. I never do leet code since I believe they don't test engineering skills and I told them that I prefer to display my actual projects and discuss about them. The interviewer said no and told me to open an editor and use no ai and no googling, which is terrible. You can't expect an engineer to remember everything while also trying to solve a problem. A software engineer uses multiple tools and resources to provide a solution and expecting to just write code out of thin air is not based on real life scenarios. This is them saying you either obey to what we say or get out. I won't ever apply to this company or any company with outdated hiring processes, and I suggest nobody does until they change their hiring process to an actual real world problem solving task/challenge
