Recruiter seemed very positive when I talked to her about my experience and set up an interview with the VP of Communications the next day. Wow. I’ve never had an interview where the hiring manager was so negative about the role. It was easy to read between the lines that this company is in crisis as most of the marketing team had been fired and a much smaller group is doing the job now.
He specifically asked for work samples, which I sent the same day. He didn’t even have the decency to acknowledge the email and ghosted me.
This company is a hot mess.

Interview
Interview process was a multiple round process. Hiring manager in the second round was very rude and uncomfortable, to the extent that I knew I would not be moving forward within the first 10 seconds of the interview because of his behavior. That said, I still followed up regarding the role as on paper, it would have been a good match. Recruiter tried ghosting me and only after 4 weeks and multiple follow-ups with no responses, did I get a rejection.
