The initial virtual interview with a senior client director went well, and I was informed that I would be scheduled for an in-person interview with his boss the following week. However, I was then ghosted for nearly five weeks. Prior to the interview, the recruiter had been responsive and communicative through LinkedIn messages. After the interview, I attempted multiple times to check in with the recruiter for updates, but all my messages were ignored. Nearly five weeks later, I reached out directly to the senior client director, who apologized and informed me that I should have already been contacted by the recruiter to let me know they had gone with an internal candidate. Shortly after, the recruiter claimed he had left me a voicemail, which was untrue. Later, he apologized for failing to send a text. This lack of communication and the repeated failure to provide updates left me feeling disrespected and frustrated. The entire process highlighted a serious gap in professionalism and communication at Dexian, and it was disappointing to have my time and effort treated this way. I would urge future candidates to proceed with caution and set clear expectations for follow-up communication upfront.
