I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at DigitalOcean (Seattle, WA) in Feb 2022
Interview
The interview process was straightforward and as expected per other descriptions of the interview process. I spoke first with a recruiter who detailed the compensation and benefits at onset, followed by an interview with the reporting manager, a writing/editing assessment, then three interviews with others on the team I would be joining (two conversations were focused on editing, one focused on values and company culture). After the panel, I received a wrap-up call from the recruiter. The following week, DO made me a formal offer. The time between submitting my application and my first day was about two months.
I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at DigitalOcean in Aug 2022
Interview
There was the usual recruiter screen, followed by a 45 minute hiring manager screen. There was an editing assignment. Then the panel round, which was 2 interviews with team members. And finally an overall fit interview with a VP.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at DigitalOcean (New York, NY) in Aug 2022
Interview
The editorial process was great. Everyone was very friendly and put me at ease during the process. I interviewed with more people than I expected, but every interaction was important for everyone to get a good sense of whether it was going to be a good fit for either of us. The length of time from the initial interview to acceptance, about a month, felt appropriate.
