Traditional HR screening/interview followed by an interview with the hiring manager. I was also required to do a personality test. Everything was done virtually. The recruiter was one of the most unprofessional people I’ve ever met. She was snarky with me through email after I answered one of her questions and then failed to show up to the interview without warning. Despite calling and emailing to figure out if she needed to reschedule, she didn’t get back to me until the next day and didn’t offer an apology or explanation for wasting my time. When we finally got a chance to speak, her excuse was “I forgot”. The interview with the hiring manager wasn’t much better. The recruiter and hiring manager weren’t on the same page regarding the job duties and responsibilities and seemed to describe totally different positions. The hiring manager admitted that the job description was only 60% of the required duties and another 40% were random duties that had nothing to do with the position and seemed like things they didn’t want to hire a proper professional to do. He then proceeded to give me unsolicited career advice to help strengthen my resume for the job duties I knew nothing about (and had nothing to do with my previous experience or career trajectory). Through both interactions, it was made clear that work/life balance should not be an expectation. They also use a “hoteling” concept for the days employees are required to commute, which means no one has an assigned desk and employees are assigned to different stations every time they’re in the office. It became clear relatively quickly that I could expect to be overworked, unappreciated and underpaid (their salary range was significantly lower than competitors for a very high COL area). I declined to proceed. Side note: a lot of other reviews for this company have similar, but paraphrased, verbiage. I usually don’t see this for other companies on GlassDoor. I’ll let you come to your own conclusions.
