I had a quick phone call with HR before heading into the office. Although the interview was held over Skype it was well coordinated and prepared. I felt like they listened, took on board my answers and were eager to find out more about what I could bring to the team. I got a really great sense of the environment and felt super welcomed. They requested I put together an article to present and we discussed this and I was given feedback which was constructive and helpful.

Question 1
Tell us about what you know already of the brand or the persona you feel we have.
I applied online. I interviewed at Diono (Sumner, WA) in Nov 2019
Interview
Quite possibly the most awkward interview process I’ve ever had. Every single person I talked to mentioned how the reviews here on Glassdoor were a thing of the past and/or sour grapes on the part of the “old guard” yet to a PERSON they all had something negative to say about the CEO who they all described as “high maintenance”, “intense”, “moody”, and “passionate to the point where he once broke a door”........ I met with no less than 5 people, 2 of which forgot to tell me their titles and couldn’t tell me why I was speaking with them (ie, would we be working together, how my role would affect their daily work lives, etc). One woman flat out told me they have two lines of car seats for sale; their regular luxury line and another “low quality” line to sell at Walmart..... um what? I used to trust this brand with my children’s safety, but after this whole process and seeing their shoddy operation and lack of commitment to quality products, no matter the price point, not only am I glad I didn’t get the job but now I’m going to go buy new car seats.
