I applied in-person. I interviewed at Dollar General (Seneca, SC) in Aug 2012
Interview
I feel that my interview was not very professional but I also started with someone who was fired a month or so after getting hired. I was asked a few personal questions that should not have been asked, for example do you have kids. She had a few conversations with me and talked to me a bit about the company and then talked about how it was a drug free work site. Before it was over the informed me about what I would be doing and then she offered me the job and sent in my background.
Great place to work at for first time job. I was asked about being able to get to work ok? If I was able to work any time and if I could pick up and lift up to 50 pounds as well. Quick and easy and started within two days.

Interview
Really easy, might depend on who is giving it. But the manager was really sweet and the whole process was quick and easy and was asked when I could start almost immediately. Took like 10 minutes in person.
