Had an intro call with the recruiter to talk about the opportunity, after which I was sent a take-home case study to complete in 48 hours and then submit the excel backup alongside a written assessment. Put a significant amount of effort into the case study and after submitting it did not hear anything so I followed up a few days later and did not hear anything, I then followed about a week and a half later saying that I had interviews progressing elsewhere and wondered if they could provide an update on the timeline going forward (as the recruiter in the initial call had suggested they could speed up the process if needed). Again, I did not hear anything back and did not hear anything until following up a third time, when I finally received a generic rejection email. DoorDash's policy is also to not share any feedback, so it is unclear what the issue was. I have a background with experience in financial modeling and also shared the model I pulled together with friends to see if perhaps they thought I had missed something, but they did not see any glaring mistakes. Overall a very backwards process to put in effort to do well on a take home case study, have to chase for a response around next steps, and then receive no feedback as to the reasoning for not being moved forward.
