I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at EBSCO Information Services (Ipswich, MA) in May 2018
Interview
Brief phone screen. I had app,ied 5 months prior and they reached out, wanting to schedule a time in the immediate future. I responded and then it took several days to hear back again. The recruiter asked almost nothing about my skills or experience, and didn’t tell much about the position, but wanted me to come in for an interview. I asked why the position had been open so long, and he said they just hadn’t found the right person. I asked about scheduling the interview in either early morning or late in the afternoon and neither was a possibility. The Glassdoor reviews on the interview process for this position were not positive, so I decided to pass on going any further in the process. If they are not flexible or open in the recruitment process, being employed there could be a challenge. Sounds like they really don’t know what they want for this role.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at EBSCO Information Services in Oct 2025
Interview
TA reached out to me via LinkedIn, but the salary was way too low for me. I saw a few weeks later it was reposted with a higher salary so I applied, and he reached out to me for a phone call, and told me I'd know the next step by the end of the following week, which came and went with no follow-up from EBSCO. The following week I got a very generic email, though he said it was a "personal note", from TA, thanking me participating in the interview process and "meeting with the team", but I lost out to a candidate who had slightly more directly related experience. The funny thing, I never met with the team. TA got that big ol' response from someone who took a look at my resume, and they can't even create a response that correlated with my actual experience with EBSCO. I used to want to work with the company, for years, but because of this experience I have lost all respect for them and will cross them off my wish list.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I didn't make it past the phone screen, which was a very generic - tell me about your experience, then he asked me what I know about EBSCO. There were no questions asked about my experience nor did he really try to get to know me.
