      Artist Interview

      23 Dec 2021
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Electronic Arts in Dec 2021

      Interview

I applied through their website and got contacted by a recruiter. Then I got a panel interview and director interview. The process is very organized because they sent me a link where I have my interview profile and the time of my interview. Overall, it was a great experience.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Electronic Arts

      Interview

Interviewed for Ripple Effect (remote). Recruiter responded 2 weeks after application, met hiring manager 1 week later, panel interviews 1.5 weeks later, result 2 weeks later. The whole interview process is packed to the gills with "interviewy" questions, surprisingly even the hr screener had several. The hiring manager 1:1 was pretty chill, it was mostly informative. The group panels were a very exhausting 4 straight hours. They came with an onslaught of behavioral questions, most of which I've never heard anywhere else. The panel with the art team I would be working with felt really good, the rest felt like people who were just reading questions off a list. There was zero downtime between panels, I was so exhausted by the end I barely even remember it. I was rejected, I'm still salty that they said my skill level was not in question at all but I didn't answer all their questions well enough. This role had been open for months before I applied and remained open for months after, the hiring team is clearly _very_ picky. If you get an interview you're good enough to do the job, you just need to be good enough at interviewing (for 4 hours!) to pass their very high bar. My feedback to management: It's all over zoom, there's no reason to schedule the panels so tightly. All of my panels had the next group join the call before the first group was even finished. Give candidates at least a 15-30 minute break between every panel, we're not interviewing for the fbi or something we're just nerds who make video games.
