      Management Trainee Interview

      31 Oct 2011
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Enterprise Mobility in Oct 2011

      Interview

I applied online and honestly forgot I applied because I had been applying to so many jobs I couldn't keep up. One day, I receive an e-mail requesting a phone interview. I immediately came here to look at the process and the type of questions that were asked. There really are four different interviews you have to pass to get the job. So I call the recruiter and the phone interview was simple. She spent most of the time looking up my application. She didn't ask me anything except my name and if the hours and salary were acceptable. I said yes, and she told me that I passed on to the next round of interviews, which we scheduled for two days later. I interviewed with a different recruiter and was basically asked 4 questions. The questions were based upon leadership, customer service, and sales. Of course, I was asked the typical "tell me about yourself" question. After that, I asked my questions, which led to her giving me a lot of insight about what exactly the job entailed. At the end of the interview, she told me I passed to the next round and how to improve my answers for the next interview with the company, which was VERY helpful and allowed me to prepare better. She gave me some information and a sheet to rank the importance of different aspects of a job and even told me how to rank them properly, I received a call from the area manager two days later and set up an interview at a branch and told me to come an hour early for an observation. Make sure when you go, ask a lot of questions, be very personable, and be somebody's shadow. It's a good look and I even got a good recommendation by one of the other MT's to the area manager because of it. I finally sat down with the area manager and the branch manager for the interview. The questions were along the same lines as the first interview, behavioral situations (use S.T.A.R. method!). Honestly, the area manager did most of the talking. Had to break down how/why I rated the importance of the aspects the way I did. I asked my questions and the area manager said that I would be passed on to the final interview with the rental manager. He told me to get some in depth questions to ask during the interview. That same day, I got a call from the rental manager on the way home and scheduled an interview for two days later back at the same place my first interview was held. I looked up some interview questions and I found a couple of good ones to use. And the initial recruiter sent me a background check e-mail, which I thought was a good sign. I went to the interview kind of nervous but I knew I couldn't mess this one up because I had impressed in the other interviews. I sat down and he asked a few of the same type of questions, but he threw curve balls at me to see how I would respond. I flubbed one, but I put it behind me and kept it moving. I think he was screening my commitment and confidence. He gave me signs that I would be hired like "when can you start," etc. I walked out not knowing what to expect, but I knew I gave it my best shot and that's all I could do. A few days later, I got a call from the area manager and he talked for a bit and told me he wanted to get me started in training and set a date pending my background check. Advice to all is go in confident, make sure you use these questions as guidance, use the S.T.A.R. method for your answers, and wear a suit. Relax and you'll be fine. There will be a lot of long hours 50/week. But if you don't mind hard work and advancement opportunities, this is a good fit.

      Interview

There were 3 rounds the first was easier the last one. That one was much more thorough and a little bit more challenging for certain questions. I felt a bit stumped, however they were all fairly aligned with the typical interview questions. Overall good but just be prepared

      Interview

Smooth and took about 2 weeks to complete. They're really interested in your ability to work in a fast paced environment and your ability to deal with an irate customer. It's a sales job after-all.
