I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Equity Residential (Los Angeles, CA) in Feb 2012
Interview
The process has been very professional and pleasant so far starting from the application which was done online through the company website. I received the first call approx a week later after submitting my application asking me to go in for an interview. After hanging up, the interviewing manager sent me an e-mail right away confirming the place and time of the interview. The interviews went smoothly and I did not feel like they were interrogating me. When they said they would give me a call, they really did. That is something a lot of employers do not care enough to do anymore especially in this economy.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Equity Residential (New York, NY) in Aug 2016
Interview
The interview process from start to finish was very professional. It started with a phone call gauging my interest in the company, and just a general questionnaire. I was then brought in for an interview with one of the recruiters/hiring managers; during this face to face interview, he gave me a very detailed job description of what would be expected of me, company standards, and opportunities. It was pleasant, yet professional interview, that set the standard for future interviews.

Interview
The hiring manager called me and asked me to "sell myself." Said he would let me know in a few days if he was interested. Never received call back. Wish they would take the opportunity to give feedback to let someone know WHY they weren't hired. I think phone interviews are also a poor way to get to know someone.
