      Operations Analyst Interview

      15 Nov 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Austin, TX
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ethos Life (Austin, TX) in Oct 2019

      Interview

Process took over 2.5 weeks. Initially everything went very positively. I had a total of 3 interviews: 1 phone screening, 1 group video call, and a follow up phone call the week after. The whole process moved pretty quickly until they asked for 2-3 references. I provided the references, but was met with radio silence for many days. I thought it strange as to the sudden lack of communication on their end, and I wrote a quick email to see if I could get any updates as to my application status. I received an email a day later stating that they went with a different candidate, and that they hoped to keep in touch as they were very interested in my professional experience. They offered to provide me feedback on the interview process, and suggested that they would like to work with me in the future. I replied asking a few questions about the interview process and asked if they could provide me the feedback they had offered to give me. So far I have not received any feedback nor have I had any response to another application I sent in for a similar position. I found it very odd that they should pursue me as a candidate so emphatically only to suddenly pull a 180 and ignore all further correspondence. Very disappointing, as it seemed like a good opportunity.
