I applied online. I interviewed at Family Research Council
Interview
Each department interviews differently. The Policy and Government Affairs VP typically interviews successful candidates several times over the course of weeks, including team members in later interviews. There is a strong emphasis on finding the right person, as well as fitting the job to the individual.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Family Research Council (Washington, DC) in Apr 2016
Interview
I applied online, and surprisingly (as online applications go), got a call to come in for an interview. I had an interview with the HR manager and the VP of the department I was applying to. The VP mostly talked about his vision for the department and my role, with less focus on asking me questions. The HR manager interjected with the typical interview questions. It was slightly awkward, as they each had their own agenda for the interview.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Family Research Council in Jul 2014
Interview
I applied online for a Media Manager position and was contacted a week or so later via email by HR for a phone interview and was asked if I could possibly schedule the interview within one or two days. I had to rearrange my schedule to do so but wanted to accommodate them. I had a phone interview with the HR contact and hiring manager. Neither interviewer was very personable or displayed a strong interest in my background. The way the job was described during the interview differed from the job description. When I asked about next steps, they were very vague.

Question 1
The interview questions were typical; not very probing. I got the sense they weren't that interested in me as a potential candidate.
