Question 1
Embedded Systems topics - Code given and provide the final output
Email with recruiter and then set up a time to interview with the software manager. Was asked basic embedded questions followed by code review session to find bugs in code sample. Interview was with software manager and directors and was relatively short.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Faraday Future (San Jose, CA) in Feb 2017
Interview
I got a call from Technical recruiter in January 2017, and they explained about the team and job role. I was asked to brief my past experience and projects. Then, i was asked if i was available for a phone screen from one of the senior architect for the next day. It seemed like they were in a hurry and i agreed to it. The technical phone screen was for about 45 minutes and the interviewer went through my resume along with few technical questions related to my project. After a week a received an email for onsite interview and i scheduled for February 07, 2017. Onsite interview consisted of 6 rounds and i was tested on basic hardware, software design, string related programming, logical questions and computer architecture. Onsite was fun and i learnt a lot from the panel as well. They were very polite and helpful. After a week, i received a phone call from recruiter informing the technical panel were positive and recruiter wanted to know if i had any other offers / interviews, and the recruiter wanted to know where i consider Faraday among all the other interviews. I considered Faraday with the highest priority and informed the same. Recruiter told he would get back within a week and disconnected the call. Then on, for the first two weeks i used to get an email informing, that they are working on it and would get back soon. After which they stopped emailing, they did not respond to my emails as well. I contacted one of the interviewer panel on Linkedin and asked for feedback. He told the team is positive and would talk to recruiting department, again the same story continued for 3 more weeks. I had received an offer from another company and upon informing this, the recruiter finally called and told they are ready to offer, upon negotiating and completing the deal, the recruiter asked about my visa status (I was on OPT and it had started a month back), then i was informed they couldn't file H1 since the company deadline was past and the company was not e-verified. This information of company not being e-verified could have been provided before they could have interviewed me or they could have offered me earlier and filed for H1. I was ready to take the risk of company getting e-verified in the coming year, but i received a rejection after this talk. The final email i received was on March 21st, 2017. It was a month and 15 days of wait after my onsite for a decision. The technical team was great, but the management is worse. I would not apply to Faraday again.
