I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at FedEx (Indianapolis, IN) in Mar 2015
Interview
First, I had to register to attend a sort observation on the Fed Ex Ground website; after seeing the video on the site, I had a good idea of what the job would require. The sort observation consisted of a 10-minute walkthrough of the warehouse, in which I learned little to nothing. After attending the observation, I was allowed to apply via the package handler website; they called me back for a subsequent interview. At the interview, they were primarily concerned with whether or not I really wanted the job. After they ran a criminal background check, I was called back with a job offer.
Mostly based off work history. They seem felon friendly. I do not have a criminal history. Personality test not difficult. They responded within 4 weeks. Haven't been there physically or meant face to face.
Super easy process—mostly online application with basic questions about availability, ability to lift 50-70 lbs, and fast-paced work. No tough interview; quick hire after background check. Positive and straightforward. Definitely worth it.
