      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Fehr & Peers (Los Angeles, CA)

      Interview

I applied online through a job posting that I found out about through my school. A month later I was called to schedule a phone interview with Fehr & Peers. I did the phone interview, which was bit a awkward with the HR rep. She was very straight forward in asking a question, followed by me answering the question until I felt I was done talking. There was no flow to the conversation/interview. Just question-answer-question-answer. I did well enough to get asked to submit an additional questionnaire which I could review and type out my answers with some more thought. The example interview questions I submitted are from that questionnaire.

      Interview questions [2]

      Question 1

If we were to speak to someone who knows you very well (such as a current or past employer, a former teacher, or a relative), what adjectives or phrases would he/she use to describe you? In responding to this question, think about both the personal strengths and defining characteristics the individual would describe and the areas of possible improvement he or she would identify.

      Question 2

Three key characteristics we look for in our staff include an inquiring mind, initiative, and a willingness to take risks. Please use situations and experiences from your life to demonstrate the degree to which you incorporate these characteristics into your daily life.
