      Project Manager Interview

      7 Feb 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Finova (London, England) in Jan 2024

      Interview

It was a virtual 2-stage with the recruiter and then the hiring manager. Like most organisations, the recruiter was very professional and guided through the steps of the interview. The hiring manager was a turn-off, I lost interest in the role after he made an impression that he was tired and in a rush before commencing the interview. I've been on that side before- interviewing candidates and I think it was a red flag that he could not organise himself to meet every candidate he had chosen to interview. If I would be working with someone, I would like to know their personality, experience, strengths, and skills not just to "fulfill all righteousness". Overall I wasn't greatly disappointed because this is common with most small organisations that just needed to go through interviews without a well-structured hiring process.

      Anonymous employee
      London, England
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Finova (London, England) in Feb 2019

      Interview

3-stage review: 1) Informal Interview with the DPR Recruitment Manager 2) Formal face to face interview with HR Director 3) Formal face to face interview with Transformation Programme Manager and Recruitment Manager For both the informal and formal interviews, the interviewers did an excellent job in making me feel comfortable throughout, and accommodated my hectic schedule in order to attend the interviews. The interview style was that of a discussion, drawing on my past experience but also teasing out the main core competencies. It was clear that DPR were not only looking at just my skills but also how I would fit within the overall team as well as how I would contribute to the company roadmap going forwards. Finally, I also found it very refreshing that in all instances they were keen to highlight any difficulties they currently have but also how they are planning to address them. Their openness throughout the processes was part of the reason I decided to accept the offer.
