Interview
There are a handful amount of rounds - Screening, technical interview, technical task, HR intervew - but overall these are sensible albeit a bit tiring, and for me it was relatively quick.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Flexion (Budapest) in Oct 2025
Interview
Screening call, tech interview (in person), HR & team fit interview (in person), formal videocall with COO (Per Lauritzson).
I was told the last call is only a formality, only people that are about to receive an offer ever get to that stage. Call went well, had a great time with Per, he liked me and gave me a lot of praise. They went silent after that. As there were holidays I decided to wait a week (5 workdays) for their reply with the offer, but still no contact. On the 6th day I have sent them an email, to which they responded with a copy-paste template of being sorry and not selecting me as there were better candidates, while the job got posted to LinkedIn 3 days ago...
My take, don't waste your time on them, they are not hiring, it's a ghost job.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Usual Java tech interview question, looking at problematic/disfunctional code and identifying the issues, how would I change a mutable class to be immutable, concurrency safety, etc.
The overall interview process is smooth. And they are very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed the conversation. The HR is very responsive. I love it. Love it love it………………
