      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at GSK in Dec 2014

      Interview

Online application with all the regular questions, then invited to video interview with normal motivational and competency questions. One of them was a little tricky about using information to implement an outcome. Invited to assessment centre, don't feel it was well organised and University Recruitment were extremely pushy throughout the process, to keep everything on time. Assessors, however, were nice. The assessment centre consists of a presentation (which you prepare whilst you're there about product recommendation), two group tasks (one of which they introduce more information halfway through), an interview (straight forward, competency and motivations-based) and a role play (you take on the role of a manager talking to an employee, given more information in a pack when you're there). Overall, it wasn't a very positive experience as I felt one of a number at the assessment centre, and the information that I was unsuccessful was not delivered very tactfully, nor was feedback that constructive.

      Question 1

The role play at the assessment centre was the most challenging.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at GSK (Sydney) in Jan 2016

      Interview

Interview process was very smooth application to online testing. A video interview where they asked you questions related to your experience and motivations for applying. I think the assessment centre was great despite the challenging tasks we had to perform. Firstly started off being an introduction to the company and quickly we proceeded to group tasks. We had to brainstorm ideas for an imaginary company looking to improve CSR issues in a foreign country. We then had one on one interviews and then a task where we had to pitch a product to an interviewer. We ended off with another case study and this took the whole day from 8am-5pm

      Question 1

Tell me a time when you had to present ideas to a large group of people.- mainly STAR statements required.
