      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at GT's Living Foods (Los Angeles, CA) in Apr 2025

      Interview

I recently interviewed for a role at GT. The process started with an email a few weeks after applying to confirm my availability, followed by a phone screen a few days later. The recruiter was professional, asked about my previous experience, and wanted a walkthrough of my prior role and leadership responsibilities. The company is founder-led, which has both its advantages and challenges. From what I gathered, employees need to be adaptable to leadership’s schedule, with work hours sometimes shifting based on company needs—for example, later starts if there’s an evening meeting or early finishes if there’s a morning one. This flexibility appears to be a key expectation, along with a floating work-from-home day that depends on business priorities. The role itself is fully on-site, with working hours set by the company. While this setup might work well for some, it could present challenges for those with young children unless they have a full-time stay-at-home partner. Leadership is actively shaping the organization, with the founder focusing on building the company in a way that allows for more balance in their own life. Overall, my impression was that the company values flexibility and dedication to its mission. If you're comfortable with an evolving structure and leadership-driven scheduling, this could be a good fit. Based on these details I know this isn't a fit for me so I declined to move forward in the interview process.
