I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Gelato
Interview
They rejected me in the final stages (cultural interview) & it was the best thing that happened to me! - Started from an initial screening followed by an IQ test online which I cleared with the highest score ( as they said) - Next, It was a live technical assessment of around 40 minutes, A technical resource gave me a challenge and I solved that problem, after that he asked lots of technical questions and I cleared this stage as well. - Now comes the best part, they asked me for a cultural interview with 4 different top-tier people on the same day (asked me to take full-day leave), and guess what, they want to know if you are a cultural fit or not by wasting your 3 - 4 hours (40-minute call / each ). - All they wanted to hear was that you'll work 24 / 7 / 365 happily without complaining about work/life balance otherwise you aren't a Gelato fit for sure. - One of them was so rude, When I told him about my salary expectations he said, "All you want is money and you don't care about Gelato culture". << You can't possibly ask for a salary, Just good things about how great Gelato culture is :) I recommend you should pay the candidates for their time if they crossed technical assessment before your all-day culture interview.

Interview
First, they gave me an IQ test. It was a clear signal that the company is living in the past by believing such tests actually work. After that, I had a screening interview with a recruiter. It was not very pleasant interview. They asked questions just to cut me short, seemingly trying to find a silly reason to reject me.
In the end they rejected me with some generic email
Smooth and Professional Interview Process”
The interview process was well-structured and efficient. It began with an initial phone screening, where the recruiter provided clear details about the role and the company. This was followed by a technical assessment that was challenging but relevant to the job. The interviews with the team were conversational and focused on both technical skills and cultural fit. Everyone I interacted with was professional, responsive, and approachable, which made the experience less stressful. The process was transparent, with timely updates and clear next steps at each stage. Overall, it left a positive impression of the company.

Question 1
“Can you walk me through a challenging project you worked on and how you approached solving the issues that arose?”
2. “How do you prioritize your tasks when working on multiple deadlines?”
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Gelato (Barcelona) in Oct 2024
Interview
First a personally test and a timed technical test (Hackerrank)
In hours I got invited for an interview with the recruiter; this was a pleasant experience and less than a day later I got an invitation for an interview with a tech lead. This was a total disaster, a person who was barely understandable due to his horrible accent and bad English asking questions hardly related to the job... I was (almost) glad when the rejection came as it saved me from the 3 member panel interview, the live coding session and the interview with the CEO.
