I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Gem (Venice, CA) in Apr 2018
Interview
I applied for the marketing position on a Friday evening and heard back from Gem's HR manager first thing Monday morning. We set up a phone interview with the hiring manager soon after, followed by another phone interview with the VP of Marketing Friday of that same week. The following week, I had an in-person interview with Gem's HR manager and the VP of Marketing at the Gem office in Venice, California.
Gem's HR manager was quick to answer any questions I had about the role, sharing links to articles and projects the company had completed in the past. The team members I met were very friendly and the interview process was well structured. I was interviewing with other companies at the same time, and Gem's interview process was by far the most organized and the most respectful of my time. I appreciated the attention to detail that had been put into the interview process and viewed it as a strong indicator of how the company operated as a whole.
I was presented with an offer the week following my onsite interview.
