I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at General Motors (GM) (Phoenix, AZ) in Sept 2016
Interview
Got interview at career fair. Contacted for first round interview that day, scheduled for the next week. Interviewer was really nice, but late; there were a lot of people interviewing for GM. Incredibly easy questions but given the enormous quantity of applicants the first interview sets a low bar, mostly just be presentable and personable and you'll pass. I overprepped for sure. Only asked one technical question, three behavioral.
Haven't gone through the rest of the process yet, will update then.
Interview questions [3]
Question 1
If names like "A mad.ama" or "R$ace car" are unacceptable (if the alphanumeric bits are palindromes) how would you screen them out of a list of names?
When was a time when you had to do something you didn't know how to do (not exact wording, basically a "tell me about a time you had to problem-solve" type question)?
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at General Motors (GM) (Austin, TX)
Interview
First, they send you an online Technical Assessment. Then, if you pass that round, you will interview with two developers. They look at your resume and ask in depth technical questions.

Only did the OA, passed both problems, probably Leetcode Easy to lower medium. Never received another interview. Pretty fun questions, but easy to pass so the resume is the big part.

Question 1
Questions on Arrays and the manipulation of arrays.
A year ago, it was not technical and questions were easily answered in STAR format. Being able to talk about resume and experience is vital, as well as answering scenario questions.
