      Partnership Lead Interview

      11 Aug 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Bengaluru
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Genisys Group (Bengaluru) in Jun 2025

      Interview

The process was poorly structured from the outset. No formal job description was shared, and expectations were communicated only verbally by the recruitment agency. I proceeded based on limited information and went through multiple rounds—HR Head, Sales Head, Data Analytics Lead, CEO—and submitted a detailed 30-60-90 day plan. Despite investing significant time and effort, including an in-person meeting and follow-ups, the process lacked transparency. I was asked uncomfortable personal questions unrelated to the role (including family planning), and was given a timeline for an offer that never materialized. After more than a week of silence, I was abruptly informed that they were seeking someone with deep Azure partnership experience—something never mentioned as a core requirement and clearly misaligned with my GCP and ISV/OEM background, which was known to the panel from the start. This experience reflected a serious lack of internal alignment and respect for candidates’ time. If Azure expertise was non-negotiable, it should have been communicated upfront. The entire process felt like a waste of effort due to poor planning and unclear priorities.

      Interview questions [2]

      Question 1

Questions were related to partnership experience and situational questions followed with an assignment.

      Question 2

“Are you planning to have kids in the near future (3 Yrs)?” — a deeply personal and inappropriate question posed by HR during the final call. While framed casually, it felt intrusive and, in hindsight, more like gaslighting than genuine concern.
