I had both a phone interview and an in-person interview for a role with this company. During the initial phone screen, the Head of Sales mistakenly began voicing concerns about my resume before realizing I was already on the line—a red flag that suggested a lack of preparation. I brushed it off, giving the benefit of the doubt, and was happy to address any questions he had.
At the end of the call, I was invited for an in-person interview and was told that an offer could be made within a few days. I prepared thoroughly and even submitted a tailored 30-60-90 Day Game Plan proposal after the interview to show my commitment and strategic thinking.
Unfortunately, I never heard back—no email, no call, no closure. It was clear during the meeting that things had shifted, but the lack of any follow-up was disappointing and unprofessional.
Job seekers deserve common courtesy and clear communication, especially after taking time to interview and follow up thoughtfully. If this experience reflects how the company treats potential team members, I’d advise others to proceed with caution or consider applying elsewhere.
