I applied online and got a quick response on Linkedin to schedule a first call with the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist on his calendar, within the same week.
The recruiter was a no show to the call. After I follow up (both my email and LinkedIn) I get no answer whatsoever.
As I still have the link to his meeting calendar, I book another two appointments (the second after the first get cancelled) which get cancelled within less than 24h of the call day/time.
The recruiter then books a call for the 4th time (at this point still not having responded to my messages explaining the no show or previous cancellations).
One hour before the call starts, the recruiter finally sends me an email saying that they have offered the role to another candidate and that it was just accepted that morning.
In summary, they have accepted my application and scheduled a call to proceed to ignore me for almost 4 weeks. While I understand putting candidates on hold when extending an offer to another candidate, being a no show to a scheduled interview and not providing any response to my communication for almost 4 weeks is simply unprofessional.
