      Account Executive Interview

      Application

      Interview

This review is long overdue. The interview process started off great with Eric. However, as soon as I was passed on to the hiring manager, I should've taken myself out of the process. The hiring manager was 15 min late to our 30 minute call. The HM was also driving, and the call dropped 3 times within that 15 min. They didn't ask me any questions or even care about my background, just told me to ask whatever I wanted to know since we only had 15 minutes. Then comes the onsite. After preparing for days for this onsite, that same hiring manager, was on their phone the whole entire time during my mock scenario that I prepped hard for. Not sure if they were trying to "psych" me out, but I can tell you that no client would ever be on their phone during a meeting. Super rude and disrespectful. I'm glad and relieved i didn't get an offer from here because I would never want to work for a manager that would treat a candidate, let alone a team member like that. Super disappointing and everyone I've spoken to who has told me they're interviewing there, I've made sure to share my experience.

Wow — I am so sorry to read this. Seeing that I was your recruiter — I'm even more disappointed that this was the experience and candidate journey that you went through. Thank you for sharing this. It's imperative for us at Gong to learn and grow from both positive and negative experiences. We clearly have a lot of growth when it comes to your review. If you feel comfortable — please reach out to me so I can apologize profusely and so that I can also learn more details of your experience to ensure it never happens to another candidate. Typically — I would offer to meet in-person over lunch — but seeing that that's not an option — I'd be happy to send an Uber Eats gift card and unpack this conversation over Zoom. No pressure thought of course!! Again — sincerest apologies. Kindly, Eric Lindroos eric.lindroos@gong.io

      Interview

Recruiters up front have been great, though through the interview process they fail to respond. I have gone through the interview process here three times as recruiters have either ghosted, left, or simply changed direction. Not once was I given a yes/no from a recruiter, and managers continue to reach out to me on LinkedIn.

      Interview

After investing approximately two months in the interview process with the team at Gong, my experience was mixed. Following initial outreach from the hiring manager, it took about two weeks to schedule the recruiter screen, and nearly another month to reconnect with the hiring manager. I was then advanced to the presentation stage, where I was asked—based on a brief, somewhat vague one-page document—to prepare an account plan and conduct a mock discovery call. While I felt I performed well, it seemed the expectations were higher than what was outlined. During the discussion, I was asked what materials had been provided for preparation, but I did not receive any additional feedback or clarity afterward. After the final round, there was a gap of roughly two weeks with no communication. Instead of receiving a follow-up call or message regarding the decision, I was sent a generic feedback request email, which felt misaligned given the time and effort invested throughout the process.

      Account Executive Interview

      4 Dec 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Dublin, Dublin
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Gong (Dublin, Dublin) in Nov 2025

      Interview

I had a first round interview with Gong for Dublin. Unfortunately, I found the process unprofessional. My interviewer was 5 minutes late, and although that isn't a deal breaker, he didn't even acknowledge arriving late at all. He was also wearing a t-shirt which wasn't in good condition. Again, I don't mind wearing casual clothes to the office when appropriate but normally for calls with external clients/candidates, more formal attire would be welcomed. The interview lasted only 12 minutes and I wasn't asked a lot of questions. It was very by the numbers and I got the impression I was being interviewed as a formality. I wasn't given the chance to even ask questions at the end. There was essentially nothing to be gleaned from this interview from the company's perspective. After this, I didn't hear anything back. I eventually reached out to my interviewer via email to request feedback but was ignored. I found this to be a lack of courtesy. Really disappointing all around from what I understood to be a reputable company
