Applied via thier platform and receieved an email from the HR to have a first meeting. Meeting with HR went well and right after the meeting, HR sent me two take-home tasks. One was to implement background removal and then deploy it locally and on AWS EC2. And second task was to do EDA, feature engineering and then predict churn. I did both of these tasks and sent these tasks back to HR within 3 days and after a few days I receieved an email from the HR that they liked my work and they want to have a panel interview. In the panel interview, there was only one person and as HR previosuly mentioned that they liked my work so I was assuming that this person already saw my the tasks that I did but nope, he was having no idea about the tasks. This person was having zero knoweldge when it comes to pushint to models to production enviornment and I was told that why don't you use SQL to push the model and create RestAPI endpoints. ..... Really... first thing first, you didn't see the tasks and second thing we can't use SQL for model deployment. It was just a waste of time, nothing more. Advice: Have a look at the tasks that people submit and give respect to the time they invested in doing the tasks. Make sure, there is a technical person taking the interview not a person who can assumingly deploy model using SQL.
