Interview
I applied online for the Cashier job at HEB in Houston.
They called me about 11 hours later (Which was the next morning) to tell me to come in for a group interview.
The group interview consisted of 10 people and 4 interviewers.
It lasted about 30 minutes.
They said they were looking for personality above experience and age.
So be happy, talk, smile, ask questions!
We all had to draw a picture on a piece of paper of where we wanted to work in HEB, draw our name, introduce ourselves, sell a "meal plan" of three random products. We were split into to teams.
(To be honest. I didn't think I passed it)
I was called back the next day (about 30 minutes before the deadline) for my SECOND INTERVIEW.
Once you get the second interview, you pretty much got the job. Ask ANYONE at HEB.
He asked me about 5 ish questions, had me tell him about myself again (Different interviewer), and then shook my hand and said I'd get a call if I passed I got a call abouttttt... 4 days later to come in to sign consent for a background check (Mind you, I had turned 18 about 3 months prior, this is my SECOND job, and I had NO CASHIER EXPERIENCE and NO record), the background check took a week.
My job orientation is in 4 days! I'll be starting off as a bagger I believe. Then move up to a cashier
