I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at HData (Dallas, TX) in May 2026
Interview
3 interviews, including an AI prompts test and a presentation to company leaders. Interviewers were courteous at a basic level. The impression that conveys is somewhat aloof for a very small company. While I was imminently qualified and willing to accept a smaller company salary for the role, it felt as if they were just going through the motions and not serious with their consideration. It's hard to measure bias, AND, intuitively speaking, it's possible something like that was in play. They did not provide feedback, which is strange, given their company size and the time commitment required for their process. Their documented capital appears minimal, so that may have been a factor. I suggest using AI to investigate the likelihood the niche they occupy is likely to be successful in a 2-5 year timeframe. The audience for their products is very narrow. A number of their employees came from a company called Workiva. I'm not sure what that says about the company, but it may be worth investigating further.
