Throughout your career the 'hiring and interview' process is mainly controlled by annual reports that are then graded appropriately by a board of officers. You are graded against your peer group for promotion to the next rank. To ensure a positive and strong report you are required to fulfill certain criteria for the rank that you are 'applying' for. For example: fitness at the correct level, annual training objectives completed, management and leadership courses completed.

The interview process has changed as it is now run by a civilian company so there isn't really a vetting process, but there is an interview, a test for common sense and working out ability, as well as a 2 day selection prior to doing approximately 6 months training to become qualified.

Selection, which was 1.5 run, a medical, pull ups, and other strenth test's, team building exercises along with a brief public speaking. Very straight forward, as long you pass the medical and can do the run, you will get in.
