I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HSBC in Sept 2012
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter through indeed to apply as a Branch Customer Rep, I applied, got a phone interview about two weeks later. The phone interview HR lady was fairly nice, asked simple questions like if I had a difficult customer how would i handle the situation, etc.. Passed the phone interview and then scheduled an interview with the in branch manager and assistant manager.

Question 1
Why do you want to work for HSBC? What are your prior experiences with dealing with money and cashiering?
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at HSBC (Glasgow, Scotland) in Feb 2016
Interview
Online application, situational judgement test then they phoned me and asked some brief competency questions. They then arranged a telephone interview where I was asked six competency questions. The interviewer said I did really well and I had passed that stage and someone would be in touch to let me know if I would be invited for a face to face interview. One month later and still heard nothing I phone have (who have no number for resourcing or recruitment) and spoke to someone who said she would pass on my details to her manager who would try and get them to the right person and "hopefully" someone would be in touch. Around a week later they updated the application status on the career page from Phone interview passed to application unsuccessful- though still didn't bother to contact me. Highly disappointing way for such a big company to treat people, no care or respect for an applicant in this case.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you went above and beyond for a customer
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at HSBC (Valley Stream, NY) in Oct 2015
Interview
I've applied for positions at this company on and off for 10 years. I pursued them very aggressively over the last two years for an RB position for nearly 3 years.
Finally got called for an interview for a part-time Branch Customer Service Rep which is a Teller position at most places-I decided to interview.
First step was a phone interview. Recruiter- polite and phone friendly.
Discussed the position briefly asking about my background. She recommended me for an interview with the branch. I got called by another recruiter one week later and went in for a branch interview.
The manager and assistant manager sat in together and were welcoming and had great energy. The interview lasted almost an hour so
I was advised they were looking to fill the position immediately.
