The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Habitat for Humanity
Interview
I applied for the job. There was an excel proficiency test required with the Indeed application submission. The following morning I received an email from the executive director followed by a text from him asking for an interview same day. Umm no, I work. I scheduled for a few days out. I was completed thrown off that my first interview was essentially a show and tell car ride seeing job sites and getting a high level overview about HFH.
After the first interview I immediately received an email asking for a second interview. I was surprised and accepted. During the second interview I was asked standard questions but a lot focusing on conflict with superiors. Definitely seems like a toxic environment has previously occurred.
Left the second interview and was asked to email my references. All three references said they would let me know when they reached out. None of my references were called. It’s now been a month and never heard back. Just saw online they filled the position.
For a Christian non-profit organization I’m very disappointed in their lack of communication after 2 interviews and references being requested. I’d suggest passing on this organization.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Habitat for Humanity
Interview
Submit resume and cover letter through Indeed. First interview with Executive Director and then a second interview with 2 volunteer members of the Family Services Committee, one of whom held the position of Coordinator in the past.

I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Habitat for Humanity (Winston-Salem, NC) in Nov 2013
Interview
It was a wonderful experience. The Director of Family Services interviewed and hired me. We had an hour interview. In which, we spoke on my many skills and work experience. We immediately took a liking to each other and seem to have a connection. We both knew this was the job for me.
