I applied to Headspace in early May, and within about a week had a call with a recruiter. At first the communications were a bit staggered, but once we got to the technical screen, the entire process was really smooth. Once I passed that, we did a "virtual on-site" (because everyone on the planet is working from home right now). Headspace seems laser focused on hiring Android engineers who are good communicators and have a strong grasp of mobile app architecture patterns. The majority of the virtual on-site was me talking through challenges I've overcome or how I'd break down a problem, rather than a handful of Leetcode questions. Afterwards, their tech talent partner got in touch with me and put together an impressive compensation package. Throughout the process, every Headspace employee was a joy to talk to. They're clearly trying to cultivate a culture, and I think if you're a good communicator, this process will be a breeze.
