      Application

I applied through university. I interviewed at Honeywell

      Interview

Got this interview at a career fair on campus. Two interviews with hiring manager. First interview was just screening interview, so pretty quick and basic. Reviewed resume and asked questions based on that, also gauged interests and compatibility with teams that are hiring at the company. Second round was longer, around an hour or so. This interview consisted of behavioral questions, more questions on resume, problem-solving conceptual/technical questions.

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Honeywell in Oct 2019

      Interview

Good Process. A lot of interviews. I started off at the Career fair at my school and talked to a recruiter for 10 minutes which led to an interview a few days later with that recruiter. The interview was around 30 minutes if I remember correctly where he talked about the company and asked me a few behavioral questions nothing technical. I am an electrical an computer engineering major and was not too sure what side I wanted to work on since Honeywell offers both. He did not make me decide during the interview and gave me the next steps for both roles. For the software developer position I took a 45 minute online coding test at home that I absolutely bombed and took a test for recognizing patterns that I feel went well. I was then invited to a group onsite interview but that was canceled shortly after. No reason given however I asked the person who called me to notify me of the cancellation if I was the only one and she said no she had a list so not to worry. I then was given a 45 minute Skype interview where I talked with a Honeywell team that I was to possibly be placed into involving a role doing hardware and software applications. They decided based on my background that I would be a better fit with another team at the Platform Center of Excellence. This later led to around 3 30 minutes phone calls that all took place within a week. The first one was with the head of the department, then I talked to a team of new hires, and then back with the hiring manager. Nothing technical, just about my background. A ton of information about what opportunities I would have, the project I would be working on. I asked a lot of questions. The group that I talked to in the last 3 interview were very easy to talk and made me extremely interested in the position. I felt a lot of these interviews were based on culture fit. The process was long but that should not dissuade you. If you do not get offered a position just take this as good practice for interviews. My application process could just be an outlier.
