The interview process was quite straightforward and structured across four rounds.
First Round: This was an initial conversation with HR. The focus was on understanding the job profile and discussing my current role and experience. It was more of an introductory call to align expectations.
Second Round: I spoke with the hiring manager. The discussion mainly revolved around my professional background, and the questions were fairly aligned with my experience. It felt more like a technical and competency check.
Third Round: This round was with the unit head and followed a similar pattern to the previous round. We discussed my experience in more depth, and the conversation remained within familiar territory.
Final Round: The last round was again with HR and focused on salary negotiation. Unfortunately, this part of the process was disappointing. The HR representative appeared unprepared and extended an offer that was significantly below my current compensation. Despite a couple of negotiation attempts, we couldn’t reach an agreement.
Later, I was asked to share my current salary slip. Although I was uncomfortable, they insisted, so I eventually shared it. After that, I didn’t hear back from them, which gave the impression that they were more interested in collecting salary data than moving forward with an offer.
