I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Hydro One in Jun 2009
Interview
The interview was scheduled by phone. The hiring manager called and scheduled it. She was respectful of my time and asked whether I could talk at the time, because I was at work at the time.
The interview started off with I being asked to talk about my education and experience. However, over the course, they made it clear that they wanted me to focus only on my most recent employement, which I knew and expected any way.
Skill question was good, requiring data analysis and summary, and a report for top-executive eyes.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you prepare a report for top-executive in 20 minutes, for use by that executive in a speech/ presentation?
One of the HR personnel scheduled a meeting with me but didn't show up and didn't respond. Then another HR contacted me saying they would get back to me, but they didn't. It was a mess.
Simple and straight forward. It was a simple and standard process asking about behavioural/situational, and basic technical questions. There was very little technical questions. We also went over the expected responsibilities, etc.
I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Hydro One (Toronto, ON) in Mar 2014
Interview
The interviewers were very friendly. As this was an intern position, they paid more attention to the applicants' willingness to learn and the potential to grow. The interview took around 40 minutes and the turnaround was less than a week before hearing back.
