The interview process started with a screening call with the recruiter. We discussed my background, my current role, and qualifications. For the second round, I was given an assignment or "case study". I was shown a fictitious client portfolio and provided a fact sheet for one of the bank's discretionary strategies and asked to prepare a presentation making recommendations on how to better allocate the client's assets and to pitch the managed portfolio.
For the third round, I was asked to come into the office and meet with two of the senior private bankers. Again we discussed my background and prior experience but this interview was more social in nature, as they wanted to get a feel for how I'd fit into the team. The fourth and final round was an interview with executive leadership. Here I was asked more directly to share details about my experience interfacing with clients and leading discussions around investments & markets.
