I had four rounds of interviews. When the recruiter called me for the first time, we have discussed the requirements and I told my salary expectation. I was processed, had three more interviews where I was repeatedly asked about my salary requirement, then I got an offer with almost half the money I said (ps. I had worked at a startup before as an associate and I had even earned more there). I don't understand why they told me we could move on and dragged me for three more rounds.
