Glassdoor users rated their interview experience at IGC as 100% positive with a difficulty rating score of 3 out of 5 (where 5 is the highest level of difficulty). A series of three interviews. First was behavioral, the next was a mix of behavioral and technical. I found the interview to not be very challenging and the personality of the interviewers to be very nice and open.

2 rounds: first one focused on economics questions from the chosen speciality, almost like an oral exam (30 minutes)
Second round: presentation of a paper plus discussion about it, as well as some more unrelated economics questions

The interview process typically consists of a work exercise, first round interview, second round interview and offer. The work exercise is drafting a policy brief on a particular paper. They also tested understanding of STATA.
