I just had to sit in booth with manager and supervisor and was just asked basic questions like past experience dealing with customers, and how to deal with issues involving them, how to count back change, and how to work the front, and cash register. Then I was asked hours was availability, they are usually looking for people to work morning shifts.

How do you deal with a customer that is dissatisfied with their order?
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at IHOP (Tucson, AZ) in Nov 2025
Interview
The interview process entailed of the Manager giving me a rundown of what to expect working there and ensuring if I was okay with all the listed duties, I wasn't asked many questions.
The interview process was straight forward. I went in, asked for an application, filled it out, spoke to the manager, and I got the job within a few days. One of the questions I asked was if they did direct deposit, and they don't, they give paper checks instead.
The process was swift, and they got back to me in a short amount of time. The store manager was kind and friendly. It is like the usual food service industry interview process.
