The company was very professional with very capable people.
Seemed to have a work hard / play hard culture and a passion in IT. From what I was told the technology was bleeding edge compared to most banks with their bespoke ad hoc appications of unwieldy third party applications.
Advice, be yourself. Really nice people interviewing in IT that want like minded professionals. Although they were very geeky at times it must be said.
Don't be scared of saying something stupid during the tests and don't worry about asking for help to get on track. I was nervous and din't want to show weakness... so completely missed the leftfield questions. Maybe a bit of MENSA warming up.
Can not see how this was relevant but why not be extra stringent. Interviews are so hit and miss we can all scrub up pretty well. So this is a means of serving up new problems and see how we react.
HR interview was a waste of time. Lots of in depth questions on your current package and benefits rather than selling the company which is a shame. Best be prepared to give up these details before you walk in as they got uptight with me when I did not play ball with my reason being I was currently earning below market rate so saw no relevance to current income (so naive).
