I applied on the ING website for the position of Java Software Engineer Financial Markets, and soon after I applied they sent me a request to take an online programming test.
I finished the online test, and one day later they called me on the phone and wanted to arrange a one-on-one interview as soon as possible. They seemed to be very interested in my experience and skill set.
I talked to a recruiter on the phone and we considered two available options: either in one of the next 4 coming days or some time after two weeks (because I was traveling out of Amsterdam for two weeks). The recruiter told me that he's going to arrange an interview with the engineers and let me know about the decided date and time.
Nevertheless, he never got back to me. Never called or sent an email. About three weeks later, I send him an email, just to see if they are still interested in me or have stopped the interviewing process, but I got no answer.
If this is an indication of how they treat their employees, then I would never want to work for ING.
