Applied online. Was contacted by phone to arrange for a 1 hour HR interview. During the interview was asked pretty much all standard general interview questions - salary requirements, why work for us, why are you thinking of leaving your job, best boss, best skills, how do we remember you, how do you keep up to date with new stuff, have you missed deadline, if a coworker is missing a deadline, do you prefer to work in a team or by yourself.....etc.

Question 1
If a coworker is missing a deadline what would you do?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at ITW (Ohio, NY)
Interview
Easy manly focused on c++ and docker and asked about my different project and my technical skills and about my past experience and projects in my past experience 1) hr call and 2) hiring manager round
Phone interview with a recruiter that had no technical experience, and expected me to relocate myself using my own finances and savings. When I indicated i would not pay relocation costs out of my pocket, they got very defensive. I was asked to explain my personal projects and I heard the recruiter laugh at one of them - which is ironic because I asked a very basic technical question and they were unable to answer. This shows me they didn't even have the background or experience to make the judgments they were clearly making on the other end of the call. Extremely rude.
If you can't afford relocation, you can't afford candidates outside of a reasonable commute range for on-site positions. Its that simple.

Question 1
Whats your experience with C++
Explain some personal projects
What do you know about ITW
Reminder that the position is on-site and would require me to relocate with assistance from the company
Thanks for sharing about your experience interviewing with ITW. We take your feedback seriously, and we appreciate you taking the time to write a review. As a company, we are grounded in our values, one of which is respect. We're sorry that your experience didn't live up to this value.
I applied online. I interviewed at ITW (Troy, OH) in Apr 2017
Interview
There was three groups of interviewers, all with different types of questions(though the first two groups were similar) They asked a lot about my math background, and later declined me because I was too focused on my math background. If you are a duel major like me, focus on your CS or software engineer degree over your other degree and do not let them take you off topic!
