One talk with HM. Two technique interviews on site. Got positive feedback and suppose to have one more interview with VP Puneet. Tried to schedule a call with him several time. He no show up twice. Cancel twice. And then said not need backend staff engineer for current team but need UI staff. And want to move my application to TSE. Very unprofessional.

1. Recruiter Interview 2. Take home coding assessment 3. Interview with a senior engineer Assessment was easy, it took them about 2 weeks to review, which could be understandable given that the company was on holiday. According to the recruiting staff, the first interview was to discuss the assessment. However, the interviewer engineer focused on technical questions on random topics during the whole interview, leaving just a few minutes to talk about the assessment at the very end, and that's just because I mentioned it. To make matters worse, it was obvious that he hadn't even seen my code, and the questions he asked were very superficial. Although I acknowledge I didn't perform on the technical questions (as I wasn't prepared or expecting that), I don't know why the company asks for an assessment it if they don't really follow their own process, it's just a waste of time, not just for them but also for the interviewee. Overall, this was a terrible interviewing experience.

Overall interview process was mixed and left me with a poor impression on how the company handles the candidate pool. I finished the on-site panel and was ghosted by three recruiters in the company who assured me that they "move quickly" and get feedback to the candidate within 48 hours. The interviewers themselves were courteous and gave me a good idea of the project, challenges and roadmap ahead for how the company is positioning itself. The recruiting team was sloppy in handoffs, incommunicado when it came to preparing the candidate for the on-site panel and non existent in passing back feedback after I had to spend 4 hours in the office to meet the team and commute 2 hours over there and back. Overall I wouldn't think it was worth the experience and I'm assuming they passed on me but I wouldn't know since it's been two weeks of me trying to engage with three recruiters since then.
