      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at In-N-Out Burger (North Hollywood, CA) in Jul 2014

      Interview

So like a modern day unemployed student, I took to online application. I checked to see stores around me that were taking applications & those that were interviewing. Using their site is better than any of the other job sites because it gives you manager names & sometimes phone numbers. There were 2 interviewers (Shift manager & store manager). You come up to their window & ask either to see the person named on the website or if that wasn't available you say you're there for an interview. I suggest you smile & genuinely talk to the workers if there are any moving around outside so that you get over any uneasy feeling & show you can be friendly even people you don't know. I did this & I got wished luck & it was a good boost. First interviewer was more lax than the second because it was more on getting a feel of what type of attitude you have & if you would work well with the people already there, I think. I HIGHLY suggest you practice in your head what your doing with your life both school and work/career wise because they'll ask in some form. Be talkative & ask questions you have, appropriate questions like what they like most about working there or how long have they been working there. I brought a copy of my resume so that I could kind of steer my questions to be more related to my work history but this is only really brought up during the second interview. The second interview is a bit more serious because the person has had YEARS (like 7+) working there. The questions are also more about your work ethic & work history & on your employers opinion on you. I've been lucky to have had a great 3 prior jobs with customer service (hated my first retail tho) so I was able to make my answers form more around my skills to avoid answering about that particular job. Definitely sell yourself & try to answer questions they may have about you ahead of time.
