Interview
This was a bit of a strange process. It started with a video screening in which I had to record my answers to five questions. I moved onto the next round, which was a normal 30-minute phone screening call with the hiring manager. The third round was a 15-minute call with a recruiter, which felt totally backwards--shouldn't that have been the second step? This call was very basic (the recruiter was very young and asked extremely simple questions) and felt totally unnecessary given that my call with the hiring manager had already happened. A couple weeks went by after this call, and I didn't hear anything. After sending a couple of emails to the team, I finally heard back that they had gone with another candidate. A rejection email would've been helpful, as I was strung along for several weeks.
Hi there and thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear that the process felt out of order.
I also apologize that you didn’t hear back after your interview. Our intent is to follow up either way after phone interviews – please accept our apologies and I will discuss with the team.

Interview
I had a phone interview with a recruiter who seemed entirely unprepared. He gave no introduction to the position or company. At the very end he asked me two questions that he stumbled through and even said "I guess I should have prepared more."
