I have a CS background and first time attending interviews, The questions were mostly finance-related. It was a bit unexpected, to be honest. I could discuss the concepts descriptively, like explaining financial terms and how they apply to tech companies, but they wanted more - they expected specific stats with accurate numbers. Like, they asked about debt-to-equity ratios of major Indian banks and how that impacts their tech investments. I managed to give some broad strokes, but I felt like I could've prepared more on the numbers side. Still, it was a good learning experience. It highlighted how important it is to bridge CS knowledge with financial awareness, especially when you're dealing with fintech or even tech companies' financials. Now I'm thinking of brushing up on key financial metrics.
